A Shopper’s Paradise

Our well-placed hotel near Phipps Plaza

Buckhead and shopping go together like peaches and cream. Let’s begin with the dynamic duo: Lenox Square Mall and Phipps Plaza. Prepare to pinch yourself at the sight of these two major malls directly across Peachtree Road from one another. Lenox Square, an Atlanta landmark dating back to 1959, is anchored by Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus and Macy’s. The smaller Phipps Plaza offers up stores like Tiffany & Co., Nordstrom and Gucci.

Newer on the scene is Buckhead Village, a blend of upscale boutiques and dining experiences, and the world’s largest Restoration Hardware. If antiques, art galleries and interior design are more your speed, Bennett StreetMiami Circle and Peachtree Battle Antiques & Interiors have the goods. Heading toward Midtown Atlanta, there’s Atlantic Station, an outdoor mall so massive it boasts its own Zip code. And, of course, Atlanta’s many neighborhoods offer their own takes on retail therapy, like alternative superstore Junkman’s Daughter in Little Five Points and Ponce City Market near the walkable Virginia-Highland.
